Fiscal Year 2027 Budget Act

A BILL FOR AN ACT to enact a budget law for Fiscal Year 2027 through the authorization and appropriation of the sum of $165,785,102 from the National Treasury for the annual general operations, special revenue, and debt service budget of the Republic of Palau for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2027; to amend the source of funds for Infrastructure Maintenance Fund matching contributions for prior fiscal years; to increase certain foreign labor fees; to increase the minimum wage and the civil service salary schedule; to provide that appropriations for annual national audits are presumptively non-lapsing; to amend the laws governing the Cyclical Reserve Fund and the Climate Resilience Reserve Fund; to amend procurement bond requirements for projects funded by partner governments; to repeal the National Capitol Complex Tax Free Zone Act; to strengthen requirements for the timely remittance of the Pristine Paradise Environmental Fee; to establish the Republic’s public transportation system by statute; and for related purposes.
