Key Provisions of House Bill No. 12-2-1)

    1. Establishes the Ministry of Interior as a new executive ministry.
    2. Creates a centralized ministry to improve coordination and government efficiency.
    3. Transfers cultural and historical affairs (including museums and the National Archives) to the Ministry of Interior.
    4. Transfers youth affairs and sports development to the Ministry of Interior.
    5. Transfers emergency management, weather services, public records, and public information to the Ministry of Interior.
    6. Transfers the Bureau of Lands and Surveys from the Ministry of Public Infrastructure and Industries to the Ministry of Interior.
    7. Removes the National Archives from the Ministry of State and places it under the Ministry of Interior.
    8. Limits the Ministry of Human Resources, Tourism, and Development to human resources, tourism, and economic development functions.
    9. Updates existing laws and agency references to reflect the new ministry structure.
    10. Provides that the Act takes effect upon presidential approval or as otherwise provided by law.
